DS Automobiles has announced Iris Apfel as its brand ambassador for New DS 3. Apfel, 94, fronts the New DS 3 advertising campaign ‘Driven By Style’. The New Yorker is known as the great-grandmother of the fashion world, having inspired three generations of fashion designers.
Legendary businesswoman, interior designer and fashion icon, Iris Apfel, has been revealed as the ambassador for New DS 3.
Apfel, who is 94-years old, is instantly recognisable thanks to her trademark oversized spectacles and exotic wardrobe, and is acknowledged as a style icon for her unique way of expressing creative flair.
The announcement of this ‘Driven by Style’ campaign reflects the DS brand’s embodiment of avant-garde design. DS Automobiles is underpinned by innovation and unique styling, which has been inspired by the first ever DS, launched in 1955.
Apfel recently designed a range of wearable technology, which further reinforces the synergy with the DS brand, marrying elegance and cutting-edge technology.
The New Yorker started her career as a textile importer and interior decorator to the rich and famous in the 1950s and ‘60s. Since then, she has inspired authors, curators and fashionistas across the world. Last year, a documentary titled ‘Iris’ was made about her life.
New DS 3 and DS 3 CABRIO are the latest models to be unveiled by DS Automobiles, with new design features building on the original look of DS 3 and focusing on its strong personality, refinement and style.
With over three million personalisation combinations, New DS 3 allows customers to exhibit their own personal style on the road.
Priced from £13,995, New DS 3 has always embodied avant-garde design and was the first DS model to feature the highly expressive “DS LED Vision” light signature.
