Jean-Eric Vergne, the reigning Formula E champion, driver of the DS TECHEETAH - the fully-electric DS E-TENSE FE19 in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship and an active promoter of the sustainable-development message in association with the championship’s organisers, has been named E-TENSE ambassador for DS Automobiles.


As part of his assignment, Jean-Eric Vergne will defend his Manifesto to Drive Change, which seeks to take the Make our Planet Great Again message to an even wider audience and encourage us all – in our own ways – to embrace new technologies with the aim of fostering sustainable development and continuing to gain new ground in this domain.


In addition to being communicated in six languages, the Frenchman’s Manifesto to Drive Change will be a major theme of the New Energy. The E-TENSE Era Summit is being held by DS Automobiles at its DS STORE in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday, 4 March. This event will bring experts in the field of new energies together with a view to reporting on recent progress, as well as sharing their respective visions and identifying avenues for future sustainable transport-related research and development.


Coinciding with the official opening of the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, DS Automobiles will also open orders for initial markets (France, Switzerland and Norway) and publish specification / price information for DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE (a BEV – a 100% Battery Electric Vehicle) and DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4 (a PHEV – Plug-in Hybrid petrol-Electric Vehicle).
