DS Automobiles supported the South Bank Sky Arts Awards 2018, held at the Savoy Hotel on The Strand in London with creative excellence in the arts, by sponsoring the Visual Art category. The sponsorship is part of a partnership between the avant-garde French premium automotive brand and Sky Arts.
DS Automobiles is highlighting its avant-garde values and recognising excellence in the arts, by sponsoring the Visual Art category at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards 2018. DS Automobiles’ sponsorship of this prestigious honour is part of the marque’s exclusive partnership with Sky Arts, the premium television channel, which celebrates the best in art, music and culture. In addition to the sponsorship of this specific award, DS Automobiles also provided chauffeur-driven transportation for a number of celebrity guests in DS 7 CROSSBACK cars.
The South Bank Sky Arts Awards 2018 will be broadcast on the Sky Arts channel at 8.00pm on Wednesday, 4 July, hosted by Melvyn Bragg, it saw a host of artists from the entire spectrum of the arts celebrated for their achievements this year, with Benedict Cumberbatch the recipient of the coveted Outstanding Achievement Award.
Renowned for iconic automotive design focusing on personal expression and notably with its own distinctive interpretation on visual excellence with DS ACTIVE LED VISION headlights, DS Automobiles is celebrating creativity and innovation by sponsoring the coveted Visual Art category. The nominees for the Visual Art prize this year were: Mat Collishaw, Paula Rego and Rose Wylie.
The Visual Art award, presented by Germaine Greer, went to Rose Wylie for the Quack quack, Serpentine Sackler Gallery.
Visual Art is one of eleven category awards presented at The Savoy in London. The South Bank Sky Arts Awards focus on the arts in their entirety. The other categories are Classical Music, Literature, Theatre, Pop, Comedy, TV Drama, Opera, Film, Pop and Dance.
